Blockbuster Trade Pending

The #3, #9 and #11 picks in the draft might be waiving to one another as they swap sides if LFP FFB's first real blockbuster trade holds up through the trade committee this week.  In the proposed trade, Tony Le would send Hail to the Chefs franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers, first round running back Steven Jackson, and late-round wide receiver Legedu Naanee to Jason Jakubiak's My Team Blows Again squad in exchange for third overall running back Maurice Jones-Drew, third round quarterback Tony Romo, and sixth round receiver Santana Moss.

The Loss of Ryan Grant for Jason's team has left a hole in his scoring production that he hopes to fill by adding a top three quarterback, whereas Tony Le hopes to seize the opportunity to grab a consistently productive replacement at quarterback, while upgrading at running back and wide receiver.  On the surface this trade looks fairly solid, but as with any big trade there are certainly some potential stumbling blocks.

Steven Jackson walked out of Sunday's action with an uncertain immediate future on account of his groin injury, which could hold this trade up.  Tony Le's stable of running backs have been productive, but since Jason lost Ryan Grant there have been question marks.  Adding this recently injured running back could prove costly if it ends up being more serious than currently expected, but after the slow start from Jones-Drew, Jakubiak might look forward to a bigger, punishing back to represent his team.

Regret may fill the air sooner than later for either side of this trade, should it pass the committee's judgment.  Stay tuned to LFPFantasy.com for the latest updates.
