NFL Network has confirmed that Randy Moss has been released by the Vikings. Not only news in the NFL, but in fantasy leagues everywhere and J.J.'s roster especially. Moss will be on today's waiver wire for the NFL, giving teams a chance to claim him. Should he clear waivers he will be free to negotiate with any team he chooses as a free agent. Minnesota will pick up the tab for his contract either way, but he can make more money on top of it should he clear waivers.
J.J. saw Moss' production slip with the Vikings and a broken Favre, but this could be a boost to his value and statistical output if he lands in the right place and doesn't miss any time.
Should New England reacquire Moss I will officially say that there was some sort of cheating somewhere by the Patriots, and for the NFL to allow something like that I would argue that there was collusion.

Hopefully Randy has something to say now, and hopefully it is extremely disparaging about Brett Favre.
ReplyDeleteBetween Favre, Moss, and Childress, there was a lot of ego in that locker room. Top 3 reciever, bottom 3 qb, and bottom 3 coach, but they drop Moss. crazy.
