Thank you to those of you who were able to make it to the owner's meeting this evening, I certainly enjoyed myself and I hope all of you did as well. For those unable to make it, things worked to your advantage, despite our efforts... Following are the notes from the meeting, as well as the draft order for the 2010 draft. Enjoy...
-Division realignment decided on by a vote of 4-1 for Yes, with one abstaining and the Commissioner not voting.
-Divisional realignment criteria determined to be based on the draft order drawing, evens to the West, odds to the East division.
-Post free-agency bidding waiver prices established. Under this new rule, should any team owner find themselves with an empty roster position as a result of lost auctions or otherwise, after free agency bidding has ended, they will have the opportunity to fill their roster spot by purchasing a free agent. This purchase must take place before roster submissions are due for the week, and cannot take place until 5:30pm on Saturday or after the last free agency auction has ended, whichever is later. This is strictly a last chance opportunity for rosters not being filled through unsuccessful free agent and contingency bids. The prices are $5 for QB/RB/WR, and $3 for TE/K/DEF from the remaining free agent pool.
-Meachem Rule: In the case of a double-turnover play similar to last year's involving Robert Meachem, the offensive player's touchdown will count, as well as the initial takeaway by the defensive unit, and any offensive statistics up until and resulting from the initial turnover.
-2-Point Conversions: If a player on your team is a part of a successful two point conversion try, you must it to the league commissioner by the final whistle of Monday Night Football for the week. QB passing 2PC's will count for 1 point, and any Rushing or Receiving 2PC's by any player will count as 2 points. If a conversion is not reported for the week by the last whistle of Monday Night Football by any party, it will go unrewarded for all involved.
-Playoff keepers will now be unlimited, allowing teams with more than six players remaining eligible from their regular season rosters to keep as many as they like, or all of them.
-The supplemental playoff draft order will be determined by the top three playoff teams choosing their draft spot, starting with the #1 seed, then #2 seed from the remaining slots, then #3 seed, and the #4 seed will take the last remaining slot.
-Craig offers $1 million to the winner of the league if he wins with his own PowerBall ticket.
-League owners are asked to bring $5 to the draft to go into the PowerBall ticket pool for league prizes. This additional money will then be used to purchase PowerBall tickets on behalf of the entire league either all at once, or spread out over the season (to be determined on draft day). Should one of the league tickets win, the winnings will then be split up between the 10 owners, with a set percentage going to each regular season finished from 5th-10th place, and different percentages going to 1st-4th place playoff finishes.
